Polar Vortex...

We here on the East Coast/Mid-Atlantic-area are experiencing one of our more snowy and cold winters in a few years. I'm not sure if the Polar Vortex is a real thing or just a new catch-phrase for ridiculously cold temps, but whatever it is it is also the inspiration for today's post.

I'm not a huge fan of the cold and snow (I was born on a warm island so warmth are more my thing), but I do love what it does to the landscape. When snow is falling, everything is soft with shades of grays and blues and whites. Once the snow is done falling and the sun comes out the sky is blue and there are shades of blues and pinks reflecting off the snow. It's really beautiful - at least from inside. :)

Take a look at some beautiful interiors that reflect the Polar Vortex.

Pretty, right? So at least the Polar Vortex is good for something other than skiing. Oh and watch out for the yellow snow! :)
