Sweater Weather

Hi there. Remember me? It's been a while I know. I had to take the summer off - too much for one person to handle. But I am back and I have some great new stuff to share with you.

Today's blog was inspired by sweaters. Mostly because today is the first day that I could really feel Fall coming - and I LOVE Fall and all that comes with it: Cooler, crisper days; leaves changing color; and boots, jackets and sweaters! Yay!

I was actually shopping for some throws yesterday for a client's sofa and there were some really pretty, cable-knit-inspired options that I just adored. Here are other items that can bring that sweater coziness to your home decor. Enjoy!

Midcentury Home Office by Portland Media and Bloggers Lola Nova - How cute is this planter cozy?!

HGTV - I love this colorful wreath - I imagine one with football team colors...

I want to snuggle under that blanket and read a book!!

This rug will keep your feet toastie during cold months.

HGTV - Knit napkin rings bring a bit of charm to the table.

Warm up a "cool" space with cozy knit throws and pillows.

HGTV - This might take an X-Large sweater!

Living Room by Vancouver Photographers Heather Merenda - Hand-knit sweaters as art!

Is it too early for Christmas stuff? It is, but how cute are these?!

I know - don't kill me for putting something in there about Christmas already! But if you want to make them - now is the time to get started! :)

So start unpacking your sweaters. And if you have any old ones - you know what you can do with them!

  1. Cristina, How interesting. I loved all the cable knit patterns you found. Making a pillow from a sweater (or old shirt) is so clever but that over scaled throw was fabulous. The cable designed carpet squares is a wonderful idea too.
Thanks so much for sharing this on your blog.
While I was reading it I could not help but compare the way I write my blog. Sometimes I come across something inspiring or something that catches my eye and it suddenly becomes something I want to write about.....just like your post here.
I like the way you write a bit and then post photos with captions. You keep it simple. I sometimes have trouble with making my posts too wordy.
Thanks again. Hope all is going well for you.
