A Rainbow of Kitchens

I had HGTV on in the background as I was working the other day - as I often do. Up came a kitchen with cabinets in RED. The show is "What You Get for the Money" and it's about how much of a return on your investment you got for your renovations. This couple with the red kitchen did surprisingly well - and I was thinking how brave of them to build a red kitchen.

So I'm wondering, if you didn't take resale value into consideration, would you be more brave with your kitchen design colors?

Here are some people who did. What do you think? Did their bravery pay off or not? Would you dare? I think some of these are gorgeous - and a few are just daring. Take a look and tell me which is your favorite and which you would NEVER do to your kitchen.

Mediterranean Kitchen - REDDISH ORANGE

Modern Kitchen - YELLOW

Traditional Kitchen - LT. YELLOW

Traditional Kitchen - BUTTER YELLOW

Eclectic Kitchen - LIME GREEN

Traditional Kitchen - CELERY GREEN

Contemporary Kitchen - SAGE (Probably one of my favorite kitchens ever!)

Traditional Kitchen - TURQOISE

Traditional Kitchen - GRAY BLUE

Eclectic Kitchen - PURPLE

I could not believe I found kitchen colors that filled the entire rainbow spectrum. These were the best examples of each of the colors. Some I just love - some not so much. Tell me - I'm dying to know what you think of these kitchens! Please share. :) Aside from my favorite green kitchen, I love the teal and the orange...

  3. Good timing, getting ready to paint my dining table because I can not paint my oak cabinets. Want to do a shade of grey/blue on the bottom and white on top. Your pictures confirmed it.....thanks:)
