You never really want to start a vacation with a thunder storm and tons of rain. Our phones were buzzing with warnings of Flash Floods. But, it's still vacation. And regardless of the weather, we are still going to enjoy it as much as we can.
One thing we knew we were going to do today was enjoy brunch at The Sanctuary - one of the few 5-star alliance resorts in the States. With the four of us, a grandparent, and an aunt, staying in a house made more sense then staying at The Sanctuary - and frankly I'm not sure that it will ever make sense for our budget. It is a beautiful place, and the decor is stately, southern elegance.
While we were there, I took the opportunity of taking some photos of the beautiful resort. Enjoy the pictures. Oh, and yes, the brunch was excellent. Shrimp and grits - yummo!
