Southern Hospitality

We are fortunate to be acquainted with Jim and Karen Wordsworth. They reside in Northern Virginia and are active in the community there. They are both incredibly hard-working individuals who have found success in their lives. When they heard we were heading to Kiawah Island, Jim and Karen graciously invited us to Charleston, SC to take our family on a boat ride.

We arrived at their charming home in Charleston. It just so happens that before the Wordsworth's purchased the house, this particular home had been chosen as a Charleston Symphony ASID Home in 2008. After purchasing it, they undertook a large renovation and did not overlook a single detail in how they appointed the home. Aside from the gorgeous interior, this home has enviable, unobstructed views of Charleston Harbor from almost every window. Truly spectacular!

After the tour of the home and grounds, we headed out to on the waters with Captain Bobby on their boat, Lattitudes, and enjoyed a terrific tour of the Harbor and a yummy lunch (my new favorite food is Charleston Shrimp & Grits). With regards to the weather, our luck this trip has not been the best. It was quite chilly, windy, and cloudy on that particular day. The warmth and generosity of the Wordsworth's more than made up for it and we had a fantastic visit. Below are some of my pictures from the day. Enjoy!

More vacay photos to come. We visited the Charleston Aquarium and took a walk on the beach at The Ocean Club.
